Ouch, that is bad going. That's about three from what I remember of your blog - was it total failure or "just" data loss?
No significant data loss this time round. It was the backup disk that failed completely (no longer recognized by Windows or the Mac), and the primary disk was recoverable.
I have become wise in the ways of data recovery. Don't know if that's a good or a bad thing...
