Our new energy saving lightbulbs...
...are guaranteed to last up to 7 years.

So if they last longer than 7 years...can I return them, complain, and get my money back?

Did you know that you can get reduced price bulbs from Scottish power - http://www.gtiresponse.com/spsoftone/moreinfo.asp
I have had one bulb go in about 2.5 years. not too bad, but not 7 years (mind you, I got all of them free from Scottish power for filing out 'energy saving' questionnaires)

We got these ones from Costco. They were about a fiver for a three-pack (60W-equivalent), and they look pretty odd, too: they're little spirals. They stick up above the edge of out lighshades, but at least they're nice and bright for winter :-)
